Prayers for Afghanistan

Please take a few minutes to read this report from Dr. Jim Denison in regards to the challenges being faced by our Christian brothers and sisters in Afghanistan.

We’re hearing nightmarish reports on all the news stations about the horrors that the people there are enduring after the Taliban take-over of the country, but the news hardly ever reports on how the followers of Jesus are specifically being persecuted. The people of Afghanistan need our passionate prayers for these days when the threats against them are real and tragic.

I am especially troubled by how Jesus-followers are being singled out for oppression and discrimination. Pray for the imminent intervention of God and for those who are attempting to ease the tensions and protect the most vulnerable.
