Winning the War In Your Mind: Recognize

This series — built on Craig Groeschel’s book of the same title — will give practical tools for using scriptural truth to combat the negative thought patterns in your mind.

Read 1 Peter 5:8-9.

1. Why do you think it’s important for us to recognize that our enemy seeks to attack our minds? In other words, how are we at risk if we don’t recognize “the war in our minds”?

“A lie believed as truth will affect your life as if it were true.” — Craig Groeschel

2. What are some lies that you have believed as truth? How did this negatively affect your mental health and your life?

3. What are some of the automatic negative thoughts that you notice throughout your day?  What are some of the behaviors you notice that are in response to these negative thoughts?

4. How do you think God wants us to engage with these negative thoughts? What songs or scripture passages come to mind?
