Grace

We hope this guide will help you take the good news you hear today into your daily lives.
Sin has fractured our relationship with God and led us to seek our value in what we can acquire. This scarcity culture consumes us in an unsatisfied state of shame. But Jesus’ resurrection restores our relationship with our Creator and give us a redeemed value as God’s masterpiece.
Key Scripture Passages
Genesis 1:27; 29-31 (NIV)
Genesis 2:25 (NIV)
Genesis 3:7-8 (NIV)
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 2:4-10
RESTORING OUR INTRINSIC VALUE
1. In creation God calls us good and invites us to place our value in HIS abundance.
2. In sin we deny God’s abundance and seek significance in the world.
3. The scarcity of the world leads us to shame, insecurity, and worthlessness.
4. The GRACE of God, through Christ’s resurrection restores the relationship between Creator and created.
5. When we are restored as God’s masterpiece our VALUE is redeemed!
Reflection: Where do you seek your value?
In your time alone with God, spend some time praying over or journaling about the following questions.
Where do you seek your value?
How do others’ opinions impact your value?
Where are experiencing perceived scarcity in your life?
How might God’s grace inform your value?
How is God inviting you into a restored relationship as His masterpiece?
